Reset the printer Epson Stylus TX420W

In this post, you will find the steps to reset the Epson Stylus TX420W.

The Epson Stylus TX420W is a multifunction printer, you can make copy, scan, and print with this high-performance printer. Thanks to it 1.5-inch screen you will be able to get a good previous of the document before printing it.

This printer can be set up wireless to have the flexibility to print anywhere and can print up to 35 black/ white pages per minute and 15 pages of colors per minutes. Also, it has a scan resolution of  5760 x 1440 dpi and can print paper sizes Letter, Legal (21,6 x 35,6cm), A4, B5, A5, A6, report, executive, statement, user-defined: (8.9 to 21.6 cm) x (8.9 to 111,7cm) and compatible with Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, Windows XP, Windows XP Professional x64 Mac OS® X 10.4.11, 10.5.8 operating systems - 10.6.x.

Before resetting the printer, you have to make sure no other printers are connected to the computer to avoid any damage. In fact, only the printer needed to be reset must be connected and be running.

Step No.1

The downloaded file will be compressed, you will need to decompress the file using a program called Winrar. Check the image below and the following instructions to learn how to decompress or unzip a document.

Step No. 2
After decompressing the file, double-click on the program, then run the file by double-clicking the right side of the mouse.

Step No. 3
A program will appear letting you know that this program is free you will just need to click on ACCEPT continue.

Step No. 4
Select the option SELECT on the top right of the screen as seen in the image below.

Next,  on AUTO SELECTION to select the port of entry in the Epson Adjustment Program page and then click OK. see image below...

Step No. 6
In model name will appear the name of the reset we are trying to install, then you will leave Destination as shown. And in the port leave the default option AUTO SELECTION.


After clicking OK, the window where you select auto selection will disappear and the main program window will stay, select the option Particular Adjustment Mode. view image...

Step No. 7
In this step you have to be very careful, if we select any other option it can be fatal to the printer because it will permanently delete the configuration of the printer.

Select the option called WASTE INK PAD COUNTER and then click OK to continue.

The printer will be reset, and a message will appear on the screen of your printer.

After selecting this option, click on OK.

Step No. 8
After clicking on OK, you will need to click on CHECK to verify that everything is working. If it is the case click on SET and later on initialization, the process is complete then click on FINISH.  When the whole process is complete, you will need to turn the printer OFF for about one minute and Turn it back ON to resume the page counter which was showing that the printer ink tanks is filled.
