How to refill the Samsung D101 toner

It is important to know the different parts of the toner before refilling it to avoid any damages. The Samsung D101 toner is compatible with the following printer models: ML2160 / ML2165 / ML2165W / ML2167 / ML2168 / ML2168W / SCX3400 / SCX3400F / SCX3405 / SCX3405F / SCX3405W / SCX3405FW.

Tools needed to refill the toner 

• 150 grams of powder compatible with Samsung and Lexmark printers.
• A sharp blade
•  A  flat screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver (screw-shaped cross)
• Mask to protect the mouth and nose 
• Flat and easy surface to clean (table, chair..)

Refilling a toner is not an easy procedure, it requires a lot of patience and precision. You must be focused during the entire process to avoid leaving any parts out or making mistakes. We recommend taking pictures during the fence disarming to remember where each part goes, or if you are watching the tutorial video it will be easier to pause, rewind etc.

We advise using all clothes during the refilling process because it is difficult to remove the toner powder off the clothes or skin. If you get confused or stuck during the procedure, please save all parts and get help from printer technician.

Steps to refill the Samsung D101 Toner 

Step 1:
Place the toner on a flat surface where you can comfortably work on it.

Step 2:
We will proceed with the disassembly of the toner, you will need the blade and the flat screwdriver. Slowly cut the grips as shown on the picture below.

Also, make sure to remove all the grips across the edges of the oner, you must do it very carefully using the flat screwdriver as shown in the image below.

Step 3:

Now that the grips are removed, you can separate the toner into two parts to be able to clean the waste toner tank. Carefully clean this part and make sure to replace it as it was before.

Step 4:
Carefully clean the tank waste toner and make sure to memorize where each part goes for the assembling process after cleaning. As we mentioned before, we recommend taking picture of each part during the disassembly.

The waste deposit is just behind the drum unit, and the harvester blade. It is preferable to clean up this waste with a vaccum.

Marked in red the whole area we can see is the waste toner tank, and the yellow dots we see at both ends are an indication of where the screws have to be removed to release the wiper blade behind the cylinder. Gently clean this area without removing the sponges.

Step 5:

Fill the toner with the quantity of powder required and type of toner for Samsung. The procedure is to put everything in place and proceed to fill the toner and then assemble it again. view image...

Finally clean well all the remaining toner powder and reassemble as it was before. Then put i back in the printer, if the toner sends an error message saying it is empty or does not print you will need to change the chip by contacting the same person where you purchase the powder.
