How to refill an HP 75 tricolor ink cartridge

The inkjet HP 75 tricolor ink cartridge is a water-based or dye ink cartridge, these cartridges are known for their good performance. However, waiting for a long time before refilling it can reduce the performance and the quality of the cartridge, it recommended refilling this type of cartridge before they completely run out of ink to preserve the cartridge connectors and the efficiency of the cartridge.

This HP 75 tricolor ink cartridge can hold about 5 ml of ink per color, below we will show you the steps to refill this cartridge.

Procedure to refill the HP 75 tricolor ink cartridge:

Step #1:
Place the cartridge into a flat surface where you can easily refill it, then slowly remove the sticky label where the color and the number of the cartridge is written. Do not discard this label because you will put it back at the end of the process.

Step #2:
Fill the three syringes with 5ml of ink each. We recommend only using this quantity of ink on this particular cartridge. And, always remove the air inside the syringe before refilling it.

Step #3:
Locate where each color goes and slowly inject them into the cartridge. Please make sure not to mix the color disposition, if it happens, you will need to throw this cartridge away, look at the following picture to see the picture combinations.

Step #4:
After refilling the cartridge, please put the sticky label back to the cartridge as it was in the beginning.
Then put the cartridge back to the printer and print some test sheets.

Notes:
Let the ink cartridge rest for a few minutes before putting it back in the printer. This will allow the sponge inside the cartridge to absorb the ink.

In case you have some issue with the cartridge after refilling it, please follow the steps below.

1. Remove the ink cartridge and clean the injectors.
2. Clean the contacts on the printer as well, exactly where they come in touch with the ones on the cartridge.
3. If it does not solve the issue, leave the cartridge out of the printer and keep the printer turned off for 2 hours. You may place the cartridge back in the printer after this time has passed.
