How to restore the HP deskjet 2050 printer

This post will teach you how to restore your HP deskjet 2050 printer back to its original factory settings in five easy steps.

The HP Deskjet 2050 printer has some of the best features found in domestic printers, this multifunction printer will allow you to scan, print and make copies. The only disadvantage of this particular model is the low page yield of their ink cartridges. This HP Deskjet 2050 works with the HP 122 ink cartridges which quickly runs out of ink after a few impressions and these cartridges are difficult to refill.

We have created a different post about the HP122 ink cartridge if you want to learn more this ink cartridge, please read our blog post on this topic. However, you will always need to restore the printer after refilling the ink cartridges for a couple of times, or if you have simply used them for a very long time; restoring the printer will help the ink cartridge performance.

It is important to restore the printer to the original factory settings to eliminate most errors. Sometimes, after the restoration process, your computer could think a new printer is being installed. Therefore, you must name the printer with the previous name before the restoration and add "copy 1" after the name.

The restoring procedure for this printer is the following:

Step #1:
Disconnect the printer USB cable, you must leave the power cord plugged in. Check the picture below.
