In this post, we will describe how to properly refill the HP 28 tricolor ink cartridge. Refilling an ink cartridge is an easy process if you correctly follow given, the HP 28 tricolor ink cartridge is known for its high page yield and good picture quality.
The HP 28 tricolor ink cartridge is compatible with the following HP printer models: HP deskjet 3320, 3325, 3420 and 3425, HP deskjet 450 portable computer; HP PSC 2105, 2108, 2110 and 2115; and HP multifunction 2210 models. An original HP 28 tricolor ink cartridge yields up to 240 pages, while a refilled one print up to 180.
Step#1:
First, remove the sticky label located on the top of the ink cartridge: the one with the cartridge number and colors printed on it.
You must remove it slowly to avoid ripping it up because, at the end of the refilling process, you will need to stick it back to the ink cartridge.
Step #2:
Fill all the syringes with 5ml of ink, each one with a different color. We recommend using only this quantity and making sure the syringe is completely free of any air or dirt to avoid a damage to the ink cartridge. Please look at the following picture.
Step #3:
Slowly inject the ink into the cartridge, you must follow the color placement. Insert the magenta color to the designated hole, the yellow and cyan as well. And remember to put 5ml of each color.
Step #4:
Once you have completed the refill process, please put back the sticky label on the ink cartridge as it was on the beginning. This label will prevent the ink from leaking, and allow the air from entering the cartridge.
Place the ink cartridge in the printer, let it remain there for a couple of minutes and print several text sheets in a row before starting the actual printing process.
Additional notes:
Please let the ink cartridge rest for a while before placing it back in the printer. This will help fill the sponges inside it. You could also shake the ink cartridge, leave the ink cartridge head facing downwards to make the ink drop even more.
