Learn how to install your printer on a Windows 7-operated computer in six, easy steps.
Installing a printer on Windows 7 is an easy task due to its particular operating system interface and the tools that come with this program. Nowadays, most of the printer installed themselves on the computer when connected to a USB printer cable, and at the same time they are constantly updating and backing up their drivers. However, it is not the case for every printer, that is why we are writing this post to show you how to install a printer on Windows7 OS.
Nevertheless, it depends on the kind of printers you want to set up, and if those printers are made for domestic or business use. In this post, we will give a general printer installation process for Windows7 OS.
We recommend keeping the printer user manual on hand because it might include some important information about the installation process for several different operating systems.
The main advantage of these types of printers is that the printer will install itself automatically as soon as it is connected to a computer using the USB printer cable.

Step #1:
First of all, go to the start menu on your computer and click on printing devices. Please take a look at the following picture.
Step #2:
Click on the add printer option, which can be found on the upper-left side of the printing device window. See the next picture for details.
Step #3:
An installation wizard will now show up on your screen to help you install a local or wireless printer. Click on Add Local Printer.
Step #4:
windows 7 will now recommend a USB port you can connect your printer on. make sure you are using this exact port, or change the printer’s USB cable to the appropriate one. Now, click on next.
Step #5:
Please select your printer’s brand and series on the upcoming listing. If you don’t know the series number or your computer doesn’t have one, just choose the printer model after selecting the brand.
If your printer doesn’t appear on the list, click on Windows Update to have the listing updated.
Step #6:
If the drivers do not appear during the updating process but you still have the original drivers CD, please insert it into the computer and browse this folder. Open the file with the drivers and continue with the installation process.

Please continue with the drivers’ installation process and click on Finish once it is completely done. Your drivers will now be installed and your printer will be ready to use.
