In this post, we will show you how to download the set of printer drivers from the HP website. It sometimes difficult to keep every original component coming with the printer box, after a certain period of time, if the printer did not have any severe issue, some people choose to discard or simply lose the original installation CD, and the printer's drivers.
The instructions below will help you download the set of driver directly from the HP Website and save you some money on calling a technician to resolve the issue. Before starting looking for the HP driver set, you need to know exactly what printer model you are using. In addition, to figure out what is the printer model you are using, you must also know what operating system and what version of it is installed on your computer. Check the following link to find out: please read the following post we’ve created for you.

The main step to download these drivers directly from the manufacturer’s official HP website in your case is to access it from your computer. After the page has opened and loaded completely, please click on the drivers and software option. A small window will appear on your screen, and you will be asked to type in your printer model. Please take a look at the following image.
Most printer manufacturer websites are made to help the clients, and the HP is no exception to this rule. They have made it much easier for the users to find their drivers just by typing their printer model which makes the search process much quicker and more precise. Please look at the next picture.

Once you have written your own printer’s model, press ENTER on your keyboard or click on search. Some results will show up immediately, divided into two categories: 1) the primary results that coincide with your terms, and 2) the secondary results, which are not as related to your search as the primary ones.

After selecting the one result that fits your needs the best, please click on it to move forward with the download. We will now be taken to another site, where you will have to choose the operating system we want the drivers to be compatible with. You will also need to select a language at this point.
We have selected Spanish, but you can choose any language you are most comfortable with. The language you choose now will be the one the printer will work in from now on. In our computer, the drivers are in Spanish because we used the Spanish version of the HP site to download them.
Now that you are on a new site, please look at the printer depicted in it. This will help you identify if these drivers are meant to be used on the printer you chose and wish to install them in. If the picture doesn’t look exactly like the one you own, go back to the last page. There you can either make another search and/or choose a different result. The next image will show you all the results we got on the website.
After all, the drivers available for different operating systems have loaded, and we have selected the language we want them in, please select your own operating system and continue with the download process. Take a look at the following picture, which will show you the window where you must choose your own operating system.
In case your operating system does not appear on this list, we recommend downloading the drivers for WindowsXP on your computer, look them up on “computer”, decompress and install them accordingly. We also recommend you read the following post.
After selecting the operating system installed on your computer, you will go to another page where you will find all the drivers that HP has created for this particular operating system.
In this site, you’ll be able to find an entire section of HP applications and drivers. There you must enter the driver's area and look for the proper sets for your printer.
You must be very careful when selecting the drivers because some of them don’t involve printing tasks. This is why we suggest you only download files with the word “driver” in them, and to click on the proper download button, as indicated in the following picture.
We also recommend you save this file on your computer’s Desktop when downloading it just so you can find it very quickly.
