Is your CISS printer leaking ink? Learn what causes this annoying problem and how to fix it at home or the office.
Nowadays, Continuous Ink System is prevalent in the printer world, so prevalent that some Epson printers especially the model ( L) come with a built-in CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System).
In an early post on this blog regarding the Continuous Ink System, we helped people with issues related to this product and "We DO NOT RECOMMEND" installing a Continuous Ink System.
Installing a continuous ink system is not an easy task, even us technician encounter some issues during this process. The most current problem is to find the right height, not too high or not too low.
Once the Continuous Ink System installed in your printer, everything should work correctly. But if there is a leak coming from the bottom of the printhead, you might want to double-check if the system was successfully installed to avoid any further severe damage to the printer. Two different reasons can cause this leak:
1. You have installed the CISS way higher than it needs to be.
2. You have not laid out the CISS filters properly.
